WELCOME TO LGFCA

We would like to invite you to join the Locust Grove Youth Football & Cheerleading family. LGFCA is a family oriented association that has been a part of the Locust Grove community since 1997 and offers football and cheer through (GMYFL).

LGFCA practices the ideals of leadership and sportsmanship.  Our program teaches lessons of value far beyond the playing days, such as teamwork, discipline, concentration, leadership and sportsmanship.  We will do our very best to ensure each child is utilized to his or her utmost potential and talent.  We know that each child is unique and develops at his or her own pace.  We will exercise their bodies and minds in an effort to develop the skills needed to execute the game of football and cheerleading.

*ALL home games are played at Warren Holder Park in Locust Grove.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Locust Grove Tackle Football and Cheerleading registration fees are a follows:  

Registration--4U--$175, 5U-12U--$250

Registration includes:  (1) home and (1) away jersey,  (1) game pants, league fees, field maintenance fees, referees and insurance.  

Registration has begun and ends June 16, 2024. This is a firm deadline so please besure to register before the posted deadline!

***CURRENT OPEN BOARD POSITIONS***

***LGFCA is looking for a motivated, organized, and customer focused board member to lead the concession stand for the 2024 Football Season! This is a non-voting board member position. The concession stand board member must open and close for all home games during the season. This position includes two paid season sponsorships for your personal children or children you would like to sponsor. Interested? ***LGFCA is also looking for an Flag Football Director. This person is responsible heading up the Flag Football division in the daily operations of LGFCA. Specific duties include developing and implementing logistical plans such as coordinating practices times and meetings. This position also serves as the main communicator and liaison between the Football Director and coaches. This position includes two paid season sponsorships for your personal children or children you would like to sponsor. ***LGFCA is looking for an Assistant Football Director. This person is responsible for assisting the Football Director in the daily operations of LGFCA. Specific duties include developing and implementing logistical plans such as coordinating practices times and meetings. This position also serves as the main communicator and liaison between the Football Director and coaches. This person also organizes and executes aspects of the tackle football training camp, tackle football. This position includes two paid season sponsorships for your personal children or children you would like to sponsor. ***LGFCA is looking for an Assistant Cheerleading Director - Will assist cheer coaches with any issues that may arrise.  Will be responsible for designing uniforms, scheduling fittings and sorting/passing out uniforms to teams.  Will be responsible for finding and vetting new cheer coaches.  Will be responsible for passing on all info to coaches.  If you are interested, please fill out our online form.

EQUIPMENT INFORMATION

FOOTBALL

LGFCA will furnish one (1) home and (1) away game jersey and pants.  Additional items needed for football NOT provided by LGFCA are:

Helmet

Shoulder Pads

Cleats

Mouthpiece

Practice pants and jersey

**Depending on your team, additional items may be needed.  This will be the the parent/guardians expense.  Please check with your coach for additional details.

LGFCA is no longer offering equipment rental as of the 2024 season.  We will be selling all of the equipment that we currently have Saturday, April 20^th from 9:30-2pm.  We will have a variety of shoulder pads with prices ranging from $15-$30 and helmets with prices ranging from $25-$130.  ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!  We will be accepting cash and debit/credit cards ONLY.

The sale will be in the equipment room between football fields 3 & 4.

FOOTBALL FITTINGS will be June 22, your coach will advise each player what time they should be at the press box between football fields 3 and 4 (upper fields).

FORM OF PAYMENT

We accept debit/credit cards.  

REFUND POLICY

The refund policy will be strictly enforced.  ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE whether or not your child attends any practices, plays or participates.  

GA STATE ID OR PASSPORT

All parents must provide LGFCA with a copy of their child's GA State ID/passport.  All GA State ID/passports should be turned in to the child's coach prior to team certification.

PLAYER CERTIFICATION

Each football player is required to attend the pre-season weigh-in and certification.  Each team will be given a date and time to certify their players.  Your coach will notify you of the date and time your child is scheduled for certification.  Parents, please make the necessary arrangements so that your child does not miss certification.  IF your child misses or does not make certification, LGFCA, will NOT refund your money and your child will not be allowed to participate in the league games.  A GA state ID or passport will be required.

PRACTICE AND GAME SCHEDULE

Practice for football and cheeerleading will offically begin in July.  Practice will be three (3) days a week, typically Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  Please be sure to have your child at practice on time.  Each team will set their own practice schedule.  Games are usually played on Saturdays.  Actual games days will be determined once the schedule has been finalized by the league.  LGFCA has no control /input over the league schedule.  Once the schedule has been finalized, we will issue it to the coaches to pass along to the parents.

🏈 2024 SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP 🏈

LGFCA is excited to announce the 2024 Football Summer Camp will take place June 10-12, 2024 6:30p-8:30p. Summer Camp is the perfect opportunity to get your athlete(s) excited about the upcoming season. Passionate coaches, fun and engaging football drills, and inspirational meetings with former professional players are just a few of the amazing things Football Camp at LGFCA will feature. We can't wait to see you there!

Locust Grove Football and Cheer Association is looking for Team Moms! Team Moms are truly the heartbeat of the team. Responsibilities include being the point of contact between coaches and parents, maintaining a team bank account and weekly expenses report, serving as fundraising point of contact, setting up a snacks schedule,creating a team binder for certification, enforcing code of conduct rules, and abiding by the Team Mom Rules of Conduct.
